Recycling - Printer Cartridges Escape From Landfill

The cartridges in most computer printers can be recycled for charity but some schemes give far more of the proceeds to charity than others. One site that claims to give more to charity is cartridges4charity.co.uk where there are clear instructions

Alternatively you can drop them off at two points in Edinburgh
Ideal Computing, 78 Bruntfield Place, EH10 4HG Tel: 0871 7000151
Simply Fix It Ltd, 544 Lanark Road, EH14 5EL Tel: 0131 466 5501.

Significantly EPSON are refused by most schemes but, if you are prepared to pay the postage, you can send them to Epson. QUOTE:
"There is a solution - though we don't collect them ourselves, we know that many of you out there are very keen to do something environmentally-friendly with them, rather then just dump them in the bin.
Some investigation of ours found out that Epson themselves have a facility for recycling as much as possible of their old cartridges - it's just not publicised!
All you have to do is send them to the following address (please note that this is not FREEPOST and you will need to pay for postage):
Service Materials Management (SMM)

EPSON Telford Ltd.
Hortonwood 40
Telford
Shropshire
TF1 7YD
If you have anything other than Epson inkjet cartridges, including old mobile phones, Cartridges4Charity will be happy to receive them to raise vital funds for charities!" UNQUOTE K

  1. Hi,

You're showing Epsom but it should be Epson in the text! One is a place and racecourse, the other a major computer firm who choose not to recycle their own components!
