News - Shops that sell batteries will soon have recycling facilities

We shall soon be able to return our used batteries to shops that sell them.
Under the new European rules, which are due to be introduced across member states later this month, retailers that sell batteries will be required to provide collection points at which used ones can be deposited for recycling. AND meantime there is recyling for batteries (and domestic light bulbs) at the Ikea outlet in Straiton, if you are passing nearby. If not, there are boxes at both MBC Holy Corner and the Braid Centre where you may leave your used batteries for recycling. Ask at the Welcome desk after the church service.
